What is Sulfarlem® (anethole trithione) used for?

Sulfarlem® is commonly used for the treatment of hyperptyalism such as medical, post-radiotherapy, hyperptyalism senescence. It is also used to treat lacrimation deficiencies.

How should I take Sulfarlem® (anethole trithione)?

To use tablet, you should:

What should I know before using Sulfarlem® (anethole trithione)?

Before using this drug, you should know that:

• The darker colored urine is normal during treatment.
• This medicine contains azo colorants and may cause allergic reactions.
• This drug can be administered in case of celiac disease. Wheat starch may contain gluten, but only in trace amounts and is therefore considered safe for individuals with celiac disease.
• This medicine contains lactose. Its use is not recommended in patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or lap of malabsorption of glucose or galactose (rare hereditary disease).
• This medicine contains sucrose. Its use is not recommended in patients with fructose intolerance, malabsorption of glucose and galactose or sucrase / isomaltase.

Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

What is the dose of Sulfarlem® (anethole trithione) for an adult?

The recommended dose is 1 tablet 3 times daily with meals.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose of Sulfarlem®, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose as scheduled. Do not take a double dose.
