The dosage is based on the amino acid, electrolyte and fluid requirements depending on your disease state (nutritional status and extent of the disease-related nitrogen degradation).

In order to ensure a complete diet, the following additions are to be made according to your requirements:

What is the dose of alvesin for an adult?

Adults and young people aged between 15 and 17 years:

• Daily dose: 10-20 ml per kg of body weight.
• Maximum daily dose: 20 ml per kg body weight.

What is the dose of alvesin for a child?

The following data must be individually adapted according to age, stage of development and disease.

Children and adolescents from 2 to 14 years:

• Daily dose for 3 – 5 years: 15 ml per kg of body weight.
• Daily dose for 6 – 14 years: 10 ml per kg of body weight.

Maximum infusion rate:

For adults and children from 2 years, 1 ml per kg body weight and hour.

Duration of application

The medicinal product can be used as long as the need for parenteral nutrition is given.
